Suffolk Music Matters

In a cosy corner of Eastern England lies the sleepy county of Suffolk, home to thousands of music lovers, makers and industry professionals, quietly creating some of the most exciting music the UK has heard. This event and blog is an attempt to bring our music community some well deserved attention, uniting all the high quality (but disparate) music makers together over a pint, once a month.

Part pint, part campaign, Suffolk Music Matters is a mobile monthly networking event. Each month it will take place in an outstanding original venue in Suffolk, featuring a select handful of Industry speakers; representatives from funding organisations, venues and festivals. The talks will be short and sweet; and the opportunities plentiful. Professionals, keen amateurs, fans, all are welcome.

Our aim is to increase the 'joined up thinking' in Suffolk, introduce you to your fellow Suffolk Music Makers and maybe even solve some of the big problems we face along the way. The first event will take place as The Steamboat Tavern in Ipswich, the longest serving dedicated Music venue in the town, Tuesday 22nd April 6.30pm till 9.30pm. FREE ENTRY. Speakers to be announced shortly.
